Bathing Dead Body
While giving bath to dead body arrangement for a curtain is a must. Because it is a question of human dignity.
If the bath givers observe something uncommon or repulsive in the body they should keep it a secret. Allah Almighty will reward them for this confidentiality and forgive their sins.
- Before giving a bath abdomen of the body should be pressed with hands and pushed down slightly so as the feces, if stuck in, can drain out and the body gets cleansed.
- Washing should be started with ablution. Putting some leaves (Bairi) in the water for washing is Sunnah of Prophet (PBUH).
- Washing should be given odd (i.e. 3,5,7) times.
- In the water for using last time put some camphor as it is prescribed in Sunnah.
- If a dead body is a female then her scalp hair should be woven in three plaits and put on her back.
- Persons who washed the dead body should take bath themselves preferably.
- A husband can give a bath to his wife and the wife can do the same to her husband without any hesitation.
- There is no bathing for martyr.

- Leaves of Jujube (bairi)
- Shampoo Sachets
- Bandage
