The Rules of Tajwīd is a sequel to the Safar Qāʿidah and part of the Safar Learn to Read Series. This book is divided into seven levels, each focussing on a specific aspect of learning. It builds on the 13 levels of the Safar Qāʿidah. It can be taught alongside Safar Juz ʿAmma or when a learner begins to study the Qurʾan.
The book teaches students how to apply tajwīd to Qurʾānic sections for teacher reading. This book, based on years of teaching tajwīd at Safar Academy, will guide pupils to a proficient level of Qurʾān recitation.
The script has been transferred directly from the Madīnah Qurʾān, which is used worldwide. The text is not colour-coded with Tajwīd principles, allowing students to read black and white Qurʾāns without any help.
It features a unique marking code, logbook, and checklist to track students' progress and improve communication among students, parents, and teachers.
